Algorithms for Newly Proposed Chronic Condition Flags
Newly proposed chronic conditions specifically developed for use with the dually eligible Medicare and Medicaid populations are now available for public comment! We are currently performing exploratory research using these algorithms and are interested in your feedback on the proposed criteria (see link below). There may be possible caveats to using these algorithms (particularly related to use with Medicaid data, differences in program benefits, data quality issues, etc.), therefore, we are accepting comments through April 20, 2012 before finalizing the criteria.
Please send comments to June Wilwert at June.Wilwert@vangent.com before April 20, 2012.
Note:
- Algorithms have been applied to the 2006 and 2007 Medicare Only, Medicaid Only and Dual Eligible Populations.
- Proposed algorithms identify mental health, substance abuse, and developmental conditions and HIV/AIDs.
