Welcome to the CMS Chronic Condition Data Warehouse!
The CMS Chronic Condition Data Warehouse (CCW) provides researchers with Medicare beneficiary, claims, and assessment data linked by beneficiary across the continuum of care. In the past, researchers analyzing Medicare data files were required to perform extensive analysis related to beneficiary matching, deduplication, and merging of the files in preparation for their study analysis. With the CCW data, this preliminary linkage work is already accomplished and delivered as part of the data files sent to researchers.Latest News

| Part D Prescription Drug enrollment/eligibility and event data may now be requested from CMS (see http://www.resdac.umn.edu ). The first phase of delivery will be designed for Research Identifiable File (RIF) researchers with existing RIF Data Use Agreements (DUAs) that plan to amend the DUA to include Part D data (see PDE Phase I_Data_Dictionary.txt ). The second phase will include new RIF DUAs for stand-alone Part D data projects (see PDE_Data_Dictionary.txt ). Phase II projects will not be allowed to link any of the PDE data with any other data files except for the Part D Denominator file. All other RIF projects will be in a third phase of the release schedule. | ||
