Algorithm and reference documentation is available for a new CCW sickle cell disease (SCD) indicator for use with Medicare and Medicaid administrative claims data.
Medicare Web Tables updated with 2017 data - (posted 05/31/19)
CMS receives numerous requests for data which are used to develop aggregated statistics, charts and graphs. The CCW's Medicare Web Tables have been updated and are now available with data for years 2008 - 2017. Web Charts for the same years are coming soon!
Medicare Risk Score Files - (posted 07/30/18)
Medicare Risk Score Research Identifiable Files (RIFs) for Payment Year 2014 (PY14) are now available. See the Record Layout and User Guide for file details. Risk scores are used to adjust payments to Medicare Advantage plans to account for differences in relative costs among plan enrollees.
Encounter Data - (posted 07/16/18)
Medicare Advantage (Part C) Encounter Data Research Identifiable Files (RIFs) for Year 2015 are now available. See the Record Layout and User Guide for file details. These preliminary files are created from data submitted to CMS by Medicare Advantage Organizations (MAOs) that provide services to beneficiaries under the Medicare Part C benefit. The preliminary version was created in May 2017 and includes accepted encounters submitted through that date. The final versions will be created later in 2018 after the submission window closes.
Updated National Death Index (NDI) Data - (posted 04/27/18)
NDI Cause of Death Information from 1999-2016 for Medicare beneficiaries and 1999-2013 for Medicaid recipients is now available. See the Record Layout and Codebook for more details.
